Welcome
As a journalist, my life is told best through stories. Sometimes the stories are uplifting, telling of individuals who embody the values we hold near and dear to us, telling of individuals who display true perseverance in the face of challenges and adversity. Sometimes the stories assume a somber tone, telling of inherent problems in society, exposing of wrongs that must be righted. Sometimes they make us laugh, sometimes they make us cry and sometimes — if we’re lucky enough — they make us stop and think about who we really are, be it for one minute or for one hour. But all the time, these stories are the ones that, simply put, need to be told. And we are the ones who must do it.
Throughout my life as a journalist, I have told all of these stories. I have told readers about individuals who stand out — for better and for worse — in the community. I have told readers about issues that truly matter to them — issues like teenage pregnancy or student gambling or LGBT concerns in society. It isn’t always easy, but it’s always necessary.
As you look through my application and through the materials that accompany it, I hope this Web site will serve as an informative tool that tells you a bit more about who I am. While the content here is just a small sample size of my journalistic career so far, it features what I believe to be the very best of my accomplishments.
I hope you enjoy.
